Yay! My beer back haul has a 10pm appt time. At least I can drop it and keep moving this weekend. Supposed to be in Mo on Monday after 2 Illinois stops.

Trying to do or get too much too quick will put you into a mix of trouble .
Take it easy. Go for what you want, you'll get it with hard work and dedication . Just don't go overboard and take on too much at once just because of your high expectations and ambitions.
I want to own my own truck, this is the only way I see being able to right now.

I am doing segments for a podcast where I ask random people geek topic question in the hope that they know nothing about the topic, the results have been hilarious so far.

ME: what would you do with Green Lanterns power ring ?

Young Girl: uhhh. Wasn't that a movie?

    ME: yes. A bad movie.

Young Girl: I never saw it.

    ME: that's probably why,

My shower had no soap. I was already in it before I realized the dispenser was empty. I got some foam soap from the sink area and used that. When I was done, I told the porter and apologized, but I wanted to see if I could get my credit back from a manager.
He loaded 5 free shower credits. (And put me 250 gal closer to Shower Power for next month)

I want to take a minute to thank everyone who has been reading as I go along on this journey. Every time I read I have a new reply or a "thanks" it really lights my day up.
I'm not going to lie, I'd still write this thread if nobody read it , just for my own journal.
I have to say it does seem kind of special knowing I have forum pals that keep up on my every day events. So again , thanks for reading and replying, means a lot.

The running trend lately is to schedule a 3rd delivery or a reload in the afternoon , only to discover the location is closed at that hour . So I have stop #3 that I'm delivering at 7am instead.

I hope I get a good run to officially start my new pay week tomorrow.

If you screw up, own it.
The truck that arrived ahead of me, backed into the door last night with the "trailer tail" he wasn't aware was extended. Damaged the door, damaged the tail. He denies it to the receiver when they arrive . He acted like he didn't do anything wrong, after he pulled out, I backed in, and the receiver told me the door was damaged and asked if I saw anything, I admit I was here , but he was already in the dock.
He told me he would have to review the security footage, then file a claim.
It's too bad too, because now they could go after him for leaving the scene I imagine.

Honesty will get you further in life than losing track of reality with a bunch of lies.

Chatted with another driver who after he discovered I was a driver, immediately inquired how much I was making/being paid.
I obliged. And in the most polite way I have ever heard, he insulted my rate, the company is screwing me and I'm making nothing compared to what I could be making .
My reply was simple. It's a means to an end. I can pay my dues (again) now for the prize later.
I'm okay with it , and it's not effecting anyone else on how I'm doing things.

RERM, popcorn169 and centralmi Thank this.
