Taking another swing at it

Unloading at an elementary school in NY near Rochester , then I go get a load in Geneva that's runs back to Indiana.

 

The 2 dock warehouse receiver is in the middle of a CRE premier truck driving school. I wasn't aware of this place, but then I have been out of that game for a few years.
I have noon appointment . So much for arriving early.
Guy is strict to appt times.
After this I go get containers of some kind to drop at the yard in GR. Hopefully they keep me moving over the weekend.

It would help if the brokers would update the name of the place you are picking up to match the building sign.
And if the truck entrance is in the back of the facility, update that address so we don't circle looking for a nonexistent customer

 

Traffic at a standstill on i75 today so I took it as a sign to park it. I'll be in Chattanooga by tomorrow afternoon

 

I'm not too far outside Chattanooga for delivery in the morning, then I try to get to Mobil Al so I can show empty before being empty. (So I get credit for the miles on this settlement )

 

Money isn't everything.
I had a guy that commutes to Detroit area to drive otr.
He claimed he cleared over $4k in two weeks.
I smiled and said "that's great! Good for you."
It seemed it was not the response he wanted. So he kept pushing up his company and saying how much more he was making than I was.
Thing is, I don't have to commute. I drive my truck home .
I go home longer than just 2-3 days at a time.
And in 2 more years I'll be bringing home that much and still not having to commute.

 

Sometimes I do wish I had the capacity to be uncaring and rude.
I'm just not wired that way.
