I have had a few emails from drivers interested in doing an LP...with other companies.
I can only give a guideline, I'm not an LP guru.(not yet)
My best advice is to ask other drivers who are doing it now , ask for specifics. If they are doing well, they won't mind sharing a few details. If they don't show the evidence but still endorses the company, there is a good chance they are in a contract they can't get out of easily, and would love to have company for their misery.
An LP is not a way to live the rest of your career. It's a means to an end. Truck ownership.
Even if it means owning an older model, high miles truck. In the end, it can be used as your downpayment that you lacked before. However, if you played the game right, with luck, you may be able to have cash in savings to trade and cash free and clear.
If it's a penny for my thoughts , but I put my. 2 cents in, where does the other penny go?

The petro is my new home for the next day. Hope to get this offloaded first thing on Monday and race home to a doc appt . Then try to catch a salmon, since they are running now.

I think my 6 month experiment with the warehouse side is at an end. I had to sit on this load all weekend because they had no drivers available to deliver this morning.
The fleet side would have had me drop it in Taylor Michigan and go home. To be ready for a new week today.
I think this will be my last 2 weeks with the warehouse side. It's been fun and it's been different, but they just aren't getting the most out of my truck that I need.
Plus, if I do end up with a codriver , I need to be on a fleet board to milk all those miles. -
Just when I thought it was safe to say the live plant loads were over. I have a 7 stop tour of WI walmarts. The extra stop pay and driver assist pay will help me on the late start on the week

I got in a hole this week. I didn't scan my bills in on time for the run back from California . So I'm -1772.
On the bright side, I have a 2233 mile bump to this week. That hole is a memory in 8 days.
This plant load was planned poorly. Never had a pickup number, no trailer number.
Spent a long while rummaging through trailers until I found my load. (Bills are kept in the trailers with all the stupid rules and stuff)
So I got a late start to this run.
Funny thing is , they wanted stop 1 and 2 delivering at 6am and 7am.
They are older walmarts. They close at night and open at 8am. Needless to say I'm running behind their schedule. Doesn't help when management is on lunch -
Back in GR today. Had dinner with a friend and his wife, who picked my brain with trucking questions . (Same guy that wants to codriver)
Now I am headed to myrtle beach for Monday and the Jax for Tuesday.

By the looks of it, I'll only be in for a bit of rain. So long as they don't issue evacuations, I'm fine with whatever
popcorn169 Thanks this. -
I am 62 miles out because I don't know if a resort beach town is truck friendly.
Also; Erika is a dud
