It's no secret; equity out of walker Michigan.
The last settlement kinda stunk because I scanned my bills too late. I was -$1770.
Tomorrow I climb out with $1837

Next week I'll probably break about even with going home and a holiday weekend.

I'm at the halfway point of my purchase. 18 months in and I'm still here. I'm past the point of no return.

I'm switching back to the fleet side from the warehouse for more consistency. This "wait til empty to confirm the load" thing is getting old fast.
And after the last two days, I welcome the change back.

Do me a favor, at least read the most recent two pages so you are up to speed.

Money can be solid if you get the right dispatcher, or if on the warehouse side, you pick the right loads. Most miles does not always mean best.
I have had loads with sweet miles deliver in the middle of nowhere, and had to DH 500 miles+ for the next load.

 

My heart goes out to the family of the Werner driver that was stabbed to death by his trainee.
To know he wanted that guy off the truck, and the company said to keep him on until they arrived at a terminal (where they can more easily reassign him) is tragic.
It's obvious that companies that have trainers, do not listen to their trainers.
Personally I hold Werner partly responsible for this, as he could have dropped him off so long as there was a phone and a bathroom, and kept truckin.
I see training becoming a much less desirable position now.

I'm being paid to deadhead to Mi. Epic fail week on their part and my part for being a team player.

 

I'll be fine when I get home tomorrow, it's my 12 wedding anniversary and I think we are just staying in, maybe have a fire and crack a few beers. Monday=fishing!
