Well I am with Schneider and I just started a couple months ago. Now the contract is up for renewal and I have it downloaded and have to have it signed by next month. It is 64 pages long and my printer is out of ink so I am waiting for it to come in. I want to print it and then put them side by side and see what all the changes have been made. If it is not doable then I will see what can be done.

I heard their program is good. Is it the pick your own side or dispatcher side?
-
It is pick your own. The problem is that all the other people who is on this board know when all the good freight comes available and/or has someone watching the board for them and then when I get a chance to look at the board it is all picked dry. Occasionally I get a chance and get to look when the good freight is there and get to book a couple good loads but it is a learning experience for sure. I know that if I resign the contract I will get better at it sooner or later. I guess I am frustrated over the loads that have rescheduled lately.

Are you stacking plans so you are loaded for a few days at a time? Or do you only look after you are empty?
If possible , that would be the way to go. Snag a load, give ample time to deliver and get the reload booked before you leave. -
I try to get a few loads booked and stay booked so that I do not have to wait til I am empty. Sometimes it falls apart. But last week it worked out except for one load that delayed me but it was a good week. This week is so so and I was supposed to go home after this load since Tuesday is my anniversary. All is good though I will be home tomorrow night so it shouldn't be to bad. Have a great day.

My 70 is waning down. After I deliver, I'll have 5 hrs left and I get nothing back until Thursday morning. I wonder if I should scrape a short haul or just reset in conyers, GA.

Well I got agitated and went to the guard house yesterday afternoon and asked the lady if she could tell me when it might be loaded. She said that it was loaded Sunday afternoon and that she had no way of getting in touch with me. I explained that I gave the lady that was there my phone number when I dropped off the load that I delivered to them Saturday night. It was an interesting conversation with Schneider but now I am home for a day and should be back at it again this week.

I'm at the recycling place and it's a madhouse. Staging area is overflowing. They have a constant stream of daycabs that they are unloading first, before the road drivers. I'm looking at a 5 hour minimum stay. Kinda sucks.
