Taking another swing at it

Made it back to walker, then I grab a load for eastern PA again. Planned swap on i80 for another water load going back to Michigan
Then I go to round 2 of infusion

 

There were...complications at the water plant with the other truck bringing me the load.
So they were/are delayed.
I told him to make it as far as he could and we will move the swap point to his location.

In other news: this event prompted me to push to get on the regional board for the time being.

 

Stayed there last night ... The have water ... but you may have caught a break ... the coffee tasted like crap.

 

Shoulda been free!!

 

Ok . So the swap truck had their 5th wheel fail and it needs rebuilding. They couldn't get it started until the daytime people said "ok, do it" .
So here I sit still, waiting for my swap home.
Looks like it will be a long night.

 

My load home is a 1/2 hr out.
The grumpy guy who picked it up called and mumbled it to me.
This is going to call for lots of coffee tonight.

That was a long night. I pulled into my home town at 5am. Took a 2 hr nap and getting ready for round 2 of infusion.

 

Infusion part 2 went ok. They gave me some premeds to counter the reactions I had last week. Besides being super tired and ultra bored , it was ok.
I'm already lined up to go to Cullman Al for Monday delivery and we start the dance all over again.

 

When things are going perfect, I'm relaxed. When I detect a problem, I stress. I dread losing a days income waiting to get into a shop.
I hear a small hiss of air leaking behind my dash.
I'm also smelling exhaust in the cab stronger than normal.
They need to be looked at, but with me only driving 5 days a week, I'd hate to sit a day.
I'm going to look into jumping in a day cab for an overnight to get it rectified during the week next week. (Maybe this week)
This is when having a 2nd personal vehicle would come in handy.
