Taking another swing at it

I did have a MS to MI load for tonight/tomorrow. But it cancelled. So tomorrow holds the surprise of where to next .

 

Ended up getting a steelCase load to Michigan that another driver failed to get last night.
I said I couldn't get it to Michigan by tonight, it will be morning.
They say it's fine since it's a recovery.
Then at the end of the day they tell me it has to arrive by 8am, and if I can't do it, they will relay.
I says 820am is close enough, you aren't stealing what few miles I can get this week.
So I'll drop in the morning.

 

In for a random drug test. And here I didn't want to waste time.

 

Getting ready for round 3 of infusion. Hope there are no complications this week.

 

Hiccup with new payroll company forced me to get paid by efs check. That was fun.

3rd infusion went fast. No side effects. Except this morning he missed twice with the IV needle. Guess I should switch arms next week.

I have a preloaded from holland to Bruce Ms, then a trip right back. I love round trips ! Should be 1500 miles by Tuesday

 

Frustration sets in when the best laid plans have a saboteur.
I've been trying for 3 weeks to get on the regional board so I don't have to worry about my net income dropping or wasting time with relays.
I gave 6 weeks notice I needed to be regional and home every Friday.
I gave a 2 week reminder.
When I inquired what the roadblock was that prevented the switch, the planning manager said I needed 2 weeks notice to switch boards.
I translated this to " I wasn't directly involved in your plans, so I'm not honoring them. I'm flexing my management muscle in order to look important."

So last week I told him directly, in front of the office. "This is my notice to go on the regional board, please note it so nobody misplaces the request."

It's been a rough few weeks. Haven't broke 2k miles 2 in a row.
But this week should be different. (Only because I left a day early to include it on this weeks settlement )

On the bright side, my load back to Michigan is ready this morning rather than the appt time of 4pm. Yay me!

 

Finished paying off the hotel for the family vacation for Christmas . So if nothing else we will have warmer weather and gators to look at. (Disney is the plan, but you know...)
