    "If it were me.."
"You know what you should do?"
" you'd be better off doing it this way"
"That's a fools way to do it!"
" it's impossible to make ANY money doing a lease purchase!"

I've heard it all and I'm just tired of hearing the same broken record over and over.
If someone has a disagreement with my methods, that's fine.
I have no Ill will against anyone, I'm just sick of the same lines being spat out with no real background to my situation or what my responsibility is.

    Think of it this way.
You park at a rest area, and a stranger just walks up and says
" you're doing it wrong. You should do what this guy I know said to do"
It easy to dictate without having a stake in the outcome.

maybe the haters are just jealous because they have failed. I don't see anyone on here making the remark that you can't be a successful owner operator if you buy your own truck. It is different for each individual. You can fail at anything.

That's true. In fact, I don't like to call them failures. It just means you found something that didn't work and you move on to something else. We have to be more than truck drivers when we become O/O's. We have to become businessmen. It also means that we need not buy a shiny package until we understand what's inside. I wish you all the best in whatever YOU choose to pursue.

Headed to Alabama for an unload and reset. I wonder if there is a BWW I can pretend to care about the Super Bowl ?

So, the kid is looking at CDL companies that offer training. Which would you say would suit his needs best?

Question #1 is one you need to ask and answer yourself: Am I ready to run a small business?

Based only on your short statements, I would say you have some learning to do. The answers for your specific business are not found in a general posting area. Failing to ask and answer those questions is a quick way to financial ruin...many have tried and the road is littered with broken contracts and ruined credit.

Know what you're doing before you do it.

If you're talking about ab initio training for a CDL, I would pick Prime first and Stevens second. Both are very thorough training programs and he will learn about the trucking industry if he can survive the chaos and angst of his first year...as we all had to.

I'd be happy just to stop putting antigel in my tanks every time I add fuel. I wonder if the weather will ever warm up enough to stop...

    Nah.

I made it to Alabama. Going to sit til Monday wee hours before unloaded and after I reset I'll head to Lebanon tn for a reload to Lansing Meijer. That should occupy me until Tuesday night.
