I find myself looking at the equity trucks that I pass to see who's driving but I don't know why because I don't know what any of you guys look like.
RERM, poppapump1332, Wickedfire77 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm a typical fat guy truck driver usually wearing a Detroit hat. Usually I shave my head during hot months and grow out a winter coat on my head. It's been a busy summer.

So, while I was working on the 4th of July, getting a pain in the rear load from a couple of farms, in FL and southern GA, my AC decided to quit. Blower and all. Then. A few hrs later, the blower came on! But, no cold air. My truck has an appointment at a diesel doctor in GR at 9am before I head to South TX for Monday. Hopefully he can cure what ailes it. (I'm hoping it's just a AC recharge and I'm done)

The shop I use in Grand Rapids is awesome.
No nonsense , straight to the point. A stunning hourly labor rate.
I highly recommend them if you need work done and are in the area, go to 911truckdown on 50th street.
I'm so used to company shops where it takes days to get in, I got in right away.Highway Sailor and 88 Alpha Thank this. -
What kind/year of trucks does Equity have for l/p? Do they have a list they can email?
-
That's a question for recruiting. I know all the trucks are pre emissions series 60. Mostly 05-08 Columbia or classics. As far as a list goes, I'm not sure, as I'm thinking the availability changes weekly. Some drivers don't like the LP side and switch back to company. Many keep driving the truck they are in.
Since everyone has to do 6 weeks as a company driver anyways, I have heard that they try to convince you to buy the truck you are in. Unconfirmed though.Knucklehead Thanks this. -
The trucks are what they are. Many won't be winning any beauty contests. The motors are mostly sound, and while you are buying it, they cover 100% of all repairs. Of course if they can repair it in house, they'll have you bring it in, and they only recharge AC on the highway, no AC repairs by 3rd party. (Because they have parts in house and don't want to purchase parts they already have)
It's not too bad of a deal, if you know what you are getting when you go in.
