Taking another swing at it

Kids, there is a video going viral about a kid named Keaton. He’s being bullied at school. The response he’s getting is overwhelming from sports, actors, and rock stars. He’s about to have an awesome year. Good for him. That doesn’t solve the actual problem of bullying at school.
It’s never ok. If you see it, if you have the ability to step in, you have the responsibility to do so.
See it, stop it.
Tell the kids to go up the food chain until someone listens. If the adults reply is “oh, that’s just -insert bully name here- they don’t mean anything by it” they are part of the problem. Skip that adult and find one with an IQ greater than their shoe size.
Nip it in the bud. Stop it at the source.
Making another person suffer for the entertainment value is not amusing. One day, the bully is going to pick on the wrong target. So let’s just try to put a stop to bullying from here on in.

Furthermore, there is a line between being teased or made fun of vs physical assault and cruelty.
That kid, or any kid, could not laugh off what happens to him.
I do have to say, I would not have made a video and posted it online, as a parent, I have dealt with it privately.
This public display is just going to make it worse after the loss of interest and the internet moves on to the next thing.
Hopefully it keeps a spotlight on the subject and the family can move through it.
