Taking another swing at it

So I left Houston this morning and omg. No salt trucks. These roads are a skating rink. Took me a long time and nearly losing control 3 times due to ice for me to finally say, enough is enough. Time to park it until I feel safe.

 

A meteor stuck near my Dads house tonight. Lit up the whole sky in blue and sounded like thunder. Some people are already claiming it’s a precursor to a New Madrid, Mo fault line earthquake. I guess there have been a few of these over the last few months all over the country. So, I dunno.

 

Glad to hear your dad is ok. Lots of silly stories going around. It's making the news for all the Room Sayers. Lol

 

I hate grocery warehouses. It’s taking all day for a partial unload. Then they charge you for unloading the crap they ordered

Been using recap hours to keep moving, but I got a feeling I’ll be resetting after my backhaul . We’ll see

 

Is it my old age? I’m starting to realize I no longer have patience for incompetence or idiocy. I used to take things in stride, but now, I’m starting to tell people to get off my lawn.

 

I guess they don’t just have new series 60s just laying around. Mine was ordered 2 months ago and is arriving this week. Old motor is out today. Not too much longer and I can get out of this rental. Can’t complain though, really. Most other places I’d get the finger and have to fend for myself. The only reason I’m getting a new motor vs a rebuild is factory warranty included. That’s a lot better than a mechanic saying “you should be good” as they punch the clock to be off for the weekend.
Maybe it’s nepotism, but it helped knowing who to call to get the right numbers of the real people to call to get this ball rolling.

 

Those times when the dispatch says to be there on the 25th but the appointment is for the 26th...

 

Yep we had one of those too. Paper said call so and so told it's Monday. Called nope was Tuesday. Got lay over for it was dispatched mistake, that helped us alot got billed paid.
