I think I just achieved rock star status at this place.
Im due home Saturday and I had 3 hrs on my 70 yesterday. My dispatcher runs an auto part board as well as otr. A driver bailed on him, leaving an auto load going out east with no one to move it . He called me. He never calls me on my cell. Normally it's just text or the on board computer thing.
I know we have all heard it before, "your the only one In that area" line. But, being a semi small company by comparison , it was probably true. He asked how many hrs I gained at midnight. I said 8. He asked if I could cover the auto load as far as Youngstown, so a team can grab it, and I would still have HOS to get home on.
I just relayed in Youngstown and now I'm going to bed.
Btw, this was after I pulled a load from Atlanta to Michigan overnight and not too much napping in the daytime.

Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
Sounds like the vacation I took from6/27-7/6 installed attic stairs floored the attic and got four posts concreted in for a fence and one panel put together
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
Looks like I'm camping until midnight when my load is ready in Alabama . Then I'm off to TX, with a round trip after that to the border and back. I'll be sitting on 2343 loaded miles by Saturday morning, even though I left the house Tuesday afternoon
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
Hopefully you are "packing."

Wasp spray and a 12g flair gun. Michigan has some great gun laws. If you do carry print out the laws for each state you go through.
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
No matter what, we have days that just don't line up how we would like . I had a drop in Dallas this morning, and from the same place I have an outbound hook, but it isn't ready until noon. And can't deliver until tomorrow at .9am in McAllen , when I get the return run.
This is when Elogs are your enemy. Sitting around from 5am til noon kills the work day. So would you run and gun at noon or wait til the reset at 3, since you have until 9am to go 500 miles?Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
I would either use the split sleeper or if you did not use the sleeper button I would wait and leave after my reset. If you would leave then all that time would be wasted but as I type this I see that it was several hours ago.
Jarhed1964 and Wickedfire77 Thank this.
