I would like to say that the truck you have has a new motor and you know the truck. If you could save the money it might be a better way to go. I would hate to see you trade that truck off that you just spent a good chunk of money to get the motor in.
If you do end up trading for a newer one would they pay the balance off?
I say this and my lease is up at end of year and it's either get a new lease or buy the one I'm in. I am looking for an older one myself.

I’m working on the details. I may actually bring the truck with me. The engine was a separate agreement. Legally they can’t physically hold my title. It may be a fight, but I’ll get my way. Besides, I never signed anything on the motor, they just started deductions from the settlement.
It might take an official looking letter from an attorney and an agreement contract to continue paying for the motor via installments.

I won’t be held hostage by a company that doesn’t do long haul anymore when I get paid by the mile. Drop/hook is a joke if the backhaul isn’t ready yet.

Did they take your title? If so your truck is collateral for engine. I would see a lawyer asap if no paperwork was signed.

Can’t wait until tomorrow when I can start ironing these things out and have a better idea of where I’m going and what I’m doing.

Trying to get the engine warranty paperwork. I’m not sure who to even ask, the office and shop have turned over so much
