Taking another swing at it

That’s the one thing she said she couldn’t give me! Lol

 

I did. Then my motor blew up. They agreed to finance the in frame and they hold the title until I repay them.
What was once a 10k in frame transformed into an engine swap overhaul plus cosmetic things they felt like adding on. (New hood, headlights, bumper.) that pushed the invoice up to near 20k. I’ve been paying on it steadily as to get the title back physically so I can get it transferred to my name and I can move on.
The idea came to get an attorney to write a letter demanding that they release the title back to me, because work was done that I never had an estimate on or approved of.
My thought is I’d get the title In my name and borrow against it to pay off my motor, so I can leave early.
Appears I had a draft from the lawyer at home that I have to approve of and send back before they mail it to the company.
So I’m leaving my truck in GR to get a few repairs, and my wife is picking me up. I can approve the letter, and go fishing before heading back out.

Of my whole day fishing, all I caught was an invasive species we can’t eat. Thieves, all of them! Stealing my crawlers every other cast. Next time...a bigger box of crawlers and a bigger hook!

 

Time seems to have no meaning to the people you are relying on to give you a ride somewhere.

 

I’m at my wits end. I put the truck in the shop to get a few repairs done that we’re the company’s fault from when they had possession. I am on my way down this morning and I get a message that my truck isn’t ready, and it needs a new differential.
So next week will be a dud with more unplanned time off this week. I can’t miss my Nephrology’s appointment Tuesday, then a sleep study follow up Wednesday.
Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the water.
