Taking another swing at it

All this time sitting here made me write an entire module for a tabletop rpg I play back home . (I'm old school, not into computer gaming much)
pretty happy with myself. If only I brought polyhedral dice with me.

No information on the trailer yet. Come back at noon. One more hour to discover if I sit another night or if I get outta here! Kinda sick of 100f temps every day. I ended up getting 34hr reset that I had no need for, but at least I'm not on recap this week!

 

I came back at noon...come back at 4. Still nothing. The disadvantage of relying on others at the border. If I had an empty, I'd be gone already . Alas I am bobtail.
After sitting here since Saturday morning, the mind begins to wander. You start thinking if this was done intentionally to me. Some kind of beat down put him in his place scenario.
I doubt it, just the realities of dealing with Mexican border towns.
Should be a hefty detention/layover amount though!
Im trying very hard to stay positive and look at the bright, scorching hot side of it.

 

True enough ! But I'm in McAllen which is as bad, if not worse. I did have a plan to get out! Lol trailer was "preloaded" for pickup Friday , problem is, nobody told the planner about the delay. So I've been here since Saturday waiting. Now the word is it "should be there before 9pm when they close."
Time will tell. Don't think I'll be accepting any more McAllen runs. Although I do get paid for my delay.... I'd rather be rolling

 

Less than an hour to go before warehouse closes . Still no trailer.

 

Thing finally showed up . Late. Now I'm in Dallas and heading to Springfield mo with z water load. Glad to finally be moving. Good night.

 

Aaaaand I can't fall asleep because of the bright hot sun. Even curtains drawn, it's keeping me awake . Uhhhhgggg!
