It’s my last 11 days in a truck. Boss man asked if I knew anyone that wanted to get in my truck. I lived on the road, so I don’t have anyone I hang out with who also has a CDL, except all you folks. It’s different here.
Not paid on miles, but per load. ($250 minimum) most are same day pick/empty.
    A 5 day work week is $1250.
I’m spoiled with a fridge and microwave, and get paid detention or layover if I wait on a load away from home (they’ll booste your pay up to the $1250 minimum if need be)
It sucks I have to give that up.
I just ran a trip from Detroit to Chicago and back. Each leg was a “trip” so $500 for that tour done in 1 day.

    Feedman Thanks this.

Man..its going to be hard giving up driving. I was laid up for several months and I would watch winter truck backups on the news and lament, " They need me!"

I know they will miss you.

I’ll miss the income and the long drives through relaxing places. I won’t miss winter driving, backups, my top 5 rotating cities I hate, or overnight delivery times.

T.Rucker, UturnGirl and Feedman Thank this.

Holy heck brother, guess I came back on just in time... I wish you the best brother, seriously. Look into Keto and Intermittent Fasting for weight loss my friend, it will help you in a huge way. Stay positive my friend.
