    I run that route all the time and the highlight for me is Mt Vernon illinois because you can slip through the fence between Hucks and Wal-Mart. Nothing fun comes to mind unless you count Southland racetrack casino in west Memphis.

    No such place on that route even before Covid ... If he wants to go down 44 instead, Dottie's in Cuba is worth the stop. Don't actually know if they're open, but MO lifted restaurant restrictions back in June.

    Fall colors started. I have a standing rule of not turning on the furnace until November. But it did freeze overnight already. Let’s say it will be a brisk October. min the plus side, I’m meeting with a surgeon and dietitian at the end of the month for what should be a plan for getting to a new kidney by early next year. Finger crossed my governor doesn’t lock us down again.
