Taking another swing at it

I did it last summer, if you have a DM that will keep you preplanned and moving you can make decent money. I unfortunately didn’t have that at Shnuggel, the guy would ignore my calls.. leave me sitting in parking lots for countless days, give me loads that never paid more then a dollar per mile.. the last month I was out I only banked 2800, I was out the whole four weeks. If it wasn’t for the lack of parking and the over flux of foreign drivers out there.. I would love to purchase my own truck and try again. I just can’t see myself out there struggling during a pandemic while the guy standing next to me in the men’s restroom is washing his feet in the sink where I would wash my hands.

Biggest thing for me was the 30 minute break. Everything except the drive line counts towards it now. So I don't worry about going off duty, or the implications of showing off duty being backed into a dock, If I stay at the dock for 30min as on duty not driving. That resets the 8 hour rest break clock just like off duty used to, heck I was using yard move at the rail yard the other day for 30+ minutes, and that even reset it.

The bad thing is, now I'm used to not worrying about off duty in the middle of the day and so at the end of the week I am shorter on the 70. Not a big deal for me though, I work mon-fri and call it done.

I haven't heard about any covid related stuff attached to a medical card. There are some customers out here scanning your forehead and requiring a mask and such. No big deal.
