Taking another swing at it

Another round of dialysis today. Not so much fluid , more cleaning up the blood

 

Rumor has it, I might go home Tuesday

 

I don’t like the dialysis clinic here. Been there twice, both times they put the needles too close together and at the end, needle one is pulled, needle 2 comes up and punctured my skin, leading to a bleeding event. when I have a fistula ( an access for dialysis combining a vein and an artery together) the pressure is like a garden hose, not a pulse. Needless to say it was a mess.

 

I discovered half of my medication is anti rejection, the other half is to treat side effects from my primary medication

 

Going home tomorrow, labs locally wednesday, then dialysis decided for Thursday, then back in Detroit Monday morning for labs and 3 follow ups

 

After 6 months it’s supposed to go down to just biweekly

 

Another step closer to normalcy: I can take a shower now.

 

Home today. Go back Monday for labs and 3 follow ups

 

I can get labs done locally (kinda) once a week maybe twice a week. And only commute to Detroit once a week. Start to ween off steroids soon, which means I can sleep more than 2 hours at a time

 

No dialysis today. Labs tomorrow to determine if I get it Saturday
