Taking another swing at it

In reflection, when started driving 21 years ago, it was a “job til I find something better that can pay the bills” I did that 16 years ago. After my kidney failure I was out of work for a couple years, then I finally went for a full time factory gig. I thought the factory job was “good” being union and had benefits. It kind of sucked. So much was taken for dues and benefits I never used. There was no upward movement. And the pay was “ok” for the area but not what I was used to after driving so long. I worked harder for less. I have massive respect for people that make careers out of those jobs. I don’t understand why they would, but I respect it.

Now that I’m on the verge of being class A again on September 12th if all goes as planned , I’m kind of weary of the things that have changed in my absence. I’m sure the parking issue has been completely resolved and there is zero wait for freight.

 

409 pages of this …I know I do this for me, but thank to everyone for being along for the ride.

 

There was a fellow on here that said they had a company in Michigan that was solid with TX and FL dedicated runs…any idea what the name of that company was?

 

Is there any opinion on Grand Rapids transport? They say it’s an open load board first come first served. Pick your home time.

 

Guy I talked to said I’d commute to GR every other week. I’m not looking for that. I live far from every terminal, so I need to take the truck home.

Ok kids. I start my 2 week refresher course tomorrow morning. Hopefully I remember the PSI of a 5th wheel
