I’m ok where I am for now. I do read a lot of drivers getting rich playing the dollar tree game at the megas. Not sure if I want to touch every box on the trailer 3 times a week. I hear it pays well though

Talked to my dispatcher and expressed how I had a kid in college and a booster in miles would help with that tuition cost. So I’m taking a van load to GA over the weekend for Monday morning delivery. If I can folde a few of these in a month, I’d be good.

Of course I go south when it’s cold

So I figured “take most of the miles out of the trip and park as close to Atlanta as I can….everyone else had that thought too. Zero parking where I tried and I had to backtrack a few miles and just used the NB rest area…at least they won’t try to charge me to park.

Today I made two observations. 1)
The most frequently seen truck on the side of the road has been Super ego.
The most inept drivers I have encountered are the “independent contractors “ pulling Amazon prime trailers. I was at a rest area ready to leave when two of them just stopped in the thru fare where you would pull to exit the rest area. They just parked and got out yapping it up like it was all cool.
I blew the air horn twice and they just waved. I backed out so I could leave. I’ve never seen this phenomenon before. It’s mind blowing knowing they somehow have a cdl and can back…but can’t park correctly -
Same as Hagi parking in the fuel aisle, putting a single pump into his tank then grabbing his shower bag and head inside.

Dispatch just asked if I want to head back to Ga for Thursday morning delivery again. what have I done!?

Running on recap hours for the first time since 2018

My backhaul goes up I77 though West Virginia. Anyone know if snow is an issue up that way?

Getting out of GA is pretty easy as far as freight goes. Now I know why we used to DH out of FL to get home
Rugerfan Thanks this.
