I spent last night driving into a winter storm. Tonight I'm in Toledo heading up to the yard to drop this and grab a Saturday drop in Atlanta. Then I can take a breath. Lol
-
Made it to GA. Next load isn't ready until Monday afternoon.
I had pass on a San Francisco run because it needed to deliver Monday at 8am. I just didn't have the hours on my recap to do it. So I settle for Atlanta . Maybe next time.SheepDog Thanks this. -
Sitting at the petro in a Good Hope AL. Reload isn't ready until tomorrow afternoon . Maybe I'll catch a movie in cullman

I'm irritated. I wanted to adopt a mastiff (cane corso) from a county shelter in sw Michigan. They told me I had to fill out a pre adopt application for a background Check due to the breed . ( no dog fighting charges )
i did this 2 weeks ago and when I inquire, all I get is "working on it".
What are these people? Load planners? -
A Mastiff is a dog I wouldn't mind having at all but, I wouldn't have one unless I could be with it 24/7/365 I have, well actually my wife has, an American Pit Bull Terrior and he is awesome but, I wish I was there all the time so I could train him. These type of dogs, NEED, training,,,not everyone but most... I commend you on taking the challenge of adopting one, that is great of you, you will save that dogs life..
Wickedfire77 and wulfman75 Thank this. -
I'm hoping I hear something soon . I had a breeder offer me pups on the cheaper side, but I kind of want a shelter dog.
-
Mastiff pups? How much?
-
When I say cheaper side , remember that most breeders charge 2k for an akc pup.SheepDog Thanks this. -
I've been thrust into a weird situation in the name of income before hometime starts . Due home Thursday. At end of business yesterday, I get a text asking if I can get a load and take it to a truck near Indiana / Michigan border on i69. I say not legally. My day is spent.
Well they solve that by assigning a codriver for 48 hrs .
Mi wasn't expecting this, nor was I prepared for this.
I looked at it as easy way to rack up miles before home that I didn't have to drive.
Not sure I feel safe . The guy drives with a streak of recklessness . Hard braking to get to curve speed . Careless use of high beams. Riding two lanes at once if no traffic is around.
Needless to say, no sleep for me. I can't wait for this trip to be in the books and life goes to normal. The things I do to make it smoother later on...
