Lucky you! $25 would have been nice.

They asked me, after I made delivery in gr to jump in a day can to make a local delivery on a triple axle trailer . They say they'd pay me $15 hr to sit and get unloaded. Appt is at 1am. I says yeah.
I go in the night office to get the details and night dispatchers says "you're out of hours"
i said "I know, I was still asked to do it"
shop guy visiting asks what the trailer number is, after hearing it, he says; "locked up. Missing a wheel and a hub, brake drum. Not going anywhere"

night dispatch tells me to go to bed. So I did .
I guess a newer driver never lifted the extra axle on his turns with a 58k lbs load of water, and it effed up the trailer .

That's the mindset. Although I prefer longer runs than the ford ones. I'm putting this run on last pay period to push it up, then this week will pay rent. Going home Friday to celebrate the twins and my wife's birthdays . Looking forward to home . 6 days left. Lol

I think I've learned that 4 weeks out is too long now. I find myself getting burnt out and not enjoying doing this at all during the final week. Glad the holidays are done. Hopefully I can get back to going home on the regular again .

"4-6 weeks out" sounds so easy, doesn't it? And it is, until one lives it.
