I used to stay out 5-7 weeks a time with CRE. That was the only way to cover expenses and get a payday in the positive . That was training new drivers too, you'd think I was rolling the dough with 5000 miles a week , but I actually had to PAY the student as an employee of my truck. If it worked like everywhere else , I would have done well.

I enjoy my home time though. I don't always feel like my batteries are recharged after 3 days off , but I enjoy it. I was out 4 weeks, so I'm going to take 4 days off, return on the 5th day. Tuesday next week.
I'll enjoy today by trying to relax after a shower. So wish I could up and head to the house, but, can't afford to run home just for a day.

Wow. Paying a trainee as an employee; that is certainly something I would never do.

I dropped at Meijer, the lot was a skating rink, took me a wheel to get distance between me and that trailer. I would have felt defeated if I chained up in a drop lot.
So after that I headed to the J.

I called a local friend and we went to see the latest Hobbit movie and had dinner . Bsed a while and had a laugh. Nice day to unwind.

Now I'm off to bed to see what adventure lies in wait.

Be there at. 8am they said. Should get you loaded right away they said.
This place has 4 trucks ahead of me, and is not caught up on product.
In the nicest way possible they said "it'll be awhile ".
After x amount of time away from home, I begin to lose my ability to stay objective and positive at the same time.
I'm in dire need of a recharge. It needs to get warm so I can go fishing.

And here, too. The neighborhood school bus goes very slow, much slower than normal, down the street.

Wicked, I see you posting a good bit about drops in Alabama. You don't go to the drum place in Cullman by chance? The company I'm leased to pulls out of there. About 30-40 loads a week. Wish you continued success, and GO home. Get out of the truck and re- align your thinking. Have a good evening.
