Well, I'm not really sure. Other than equipment, I think it's in the category of I'll Know It When I See It. Equipment must have an APU and inverter and, depending on what happens with my ohysical therapist over the next couple of weeks, it might also have to have an automated transmission. But over and above all, I have to get the sense of support, whatever that sense is.

Felt like I had a hard ball in my guts last night. Feeling better this morning. Now to see if my truck will start. I didn't realize how cold it dropped while I was out of town. Not so much battery life as fuel gel in worried about.

It seemed to be partly gelled, as I was able to start it but it sputtered for about 3 minutes before it finally ran normal. Now to find out where my travel agent booked me for

My sputters every morning it is cold and the ruck has been sitting all night. I have an APU so I don't idle my truck, no matter how cold it gets. If you buy fuel in the north you get winterized fuel so, no gelling.

On my first hometime with my truck with an APU, I let it sit for the 3 days with the battery master switch off so the batteries wouldn't drain and I wouldn't really irritate my neighbors with the frequent On/Off of the APU.

    Bad idea.

During that same 3 days, the overnight temps crashed to near- and below-zero. When I was ready to go out again, the APU wouldn't start...and it never did again. I won't make that mistake again.

Neighbors, I drive a truck with an APU. Deal with it while I'm home; after all, I'm totally silent for 4-6 weeks...!

Looks like, after much flip flopping, I'm going to Alabama. I'll be there tomorrow , so I hope I'm lined up to keep going.

If I thought my kids would do well, I'd move. But they are way too attached to friends and life up here.

I'm trying, I'm TRYING! I have grandchildren in warm Oklahoma and warmer Louisiana. But I own a home I bought in Michigan in 2007 (remember that thing that happened in 2008, hmmm?) that I won't be able to sell...
