Earlier in my career, I drove a Freighliner Columbia glider for a local regional carrier. Not having the DEF junk was nice.

The pre DEF is actually what attracted me. Maybe I'm too old school, sort of . I started out in a Columbia so I'm very comfortable in it. I don't see having a big hood and a wheel base requiring a football field to turn in appealing. I grew up a transformers fan, but have no desire to drive either the original or new concept of Optimus prime.

I think me parked on a hill has something to do with my fuel gauge reading 1/8+ when I parked and now shows E with the light on. I hope it's the hill. It's 20 miles to a fuel stop

No worries. You always get 35 mpg on fumes. It's a rule. :biggrin_25519:

Turns out I was correct. The hill made my gauge misremember how much I really had.

Record cold temps has made me choose to idle the truck overnights while home

I hate waking up, even in my own house, and seeing the '-' sign in front of a number on my outside temperature station. I am so ready to sweat and complain about the heat.

Irritated today. I made assumptions that a things were equal. I made it home a day late in the afternoon . As I always do, I take the extra day at home. Load planner wanted me to head out tonight, to Texas. I said I'm taking my extra day and they got all bent out of shape. I always take 3 days. It should be known by now .

If it is not know by now it will be. If they don't get the hint then they have issues.
