Walmart or any major store with a decent pharmacy should have them, but online would be likely the cheapest option. Compression socks are great for people who sit behind a steering wheel all day. We use them on bed ridden patients to prevent clots, but they are great for swelling since they work by improving circulation.

Lots of good diet/nutrition advice on this thread. I've dropped over 40 pounds since last July with diet and exercise, but more importantly tracking everything (on a free tracking website so my cost was zero) to eliminate the guesswork with macronutrients and micronutrients. Check out http://www.sparkpeople.com/ You won't find a better, free tracking health website, believe me.

I'm now at a healthy BMI and have been maintaining since December. I couldn't have done it without tracking.

Urinating a lot is a sign of diabetes as the kidneys work overtime trying to rid your body of the excess sugar. So is ankle/feet/leg swelling. I'd get that blood sugar and A1C checked pronto.

How many pairs do you get at that price ? Other than being overweight my health is fine ,the frequent going has only been in the past month that I started out on the road ,and I had been drinking 1 or 2 quarts of Gatorade a day ,so am now cutting that out and going to watch my sodium intake and see how that goes .

beef jerky is loaded with salt.salt will make you retain water sorry but seems like your gonna have to make a decision and choose whats more important your health or garbage foods.i learned about gatorade back in the day when i was bodybuilding and running 4 miles 4 times a week and was having a hard time getting a flat stomach and my trainer told me how bad gatorade was for you cause of all the sugar.you need to start eating healthy my friend and start doing some cardio and weight training start my just walking laps around the truckstop ease into it get yourself a jumprope and some dumbbells to strenghen your legs do some walking lunges with the dumbbells do air squats meaning a squat with no weights see how many you can do in 2 minutes each time try and beat your previous best trust me air squats will be tough at first but it will improve your strength and your cardio.do pushups and crunches you can get in shape out on the road just get to have the willpower and determanation and you will see your body start to take shape.

I've lost almost 100lbs the past year by doing these simple tasks..

    No greasy foods
    No sugary drinks
    Walk....no matter what...atleast a half hour.

    My day goes like this...

Breakfast- low sugar or sugar free fruit cups. And water... I add crystal light packs for flavor.

Lunch- a salad from whatever fast food joint is at the truck stop im passing. Period...no exceptions ...

Snacks thru day - more fruit cups, I add in fiber one bars or 100 calorie packs (no more then 2!!!!)

Dinner - I usually pick dennys.. 2 pieces of grilled chicken, no sauces or add ons... and 2 side orders of steamed broccoli..

    And walk!!!!!!! No matter what!!!!

A few tips... try calling ahead your order to dennys and get it to go that way your not tempted to stop at the deli and eat pizza. Grab and go!!!! Don't allow the temptation to creep up on you..

If you get the urge to eat before bed .. fruit cup or 100 calorie pack... if you can't resist the soda urge.. a can...1can... not a 20 ounce or a 2 liter...

Give yourself a cheat day once a week but still IN MODERATION!!!

    AND WALK!!!

Top pic is my recent drivers license renewal. Bottom is my old one and 100lbs heavier

You can help the circulation in your lower extremeties by setting the cruise control and moving your feet and legs around.

After doing a lot of research about diets in other countries where they eat more fresh food and less process food than in the United States we have been eating foods with only one ingredient. This is a very healthy and simple way to plan your meals without worrying about calories or portions. Shop only the outside of the Walmart food isles. There you will find only fresh products (meat, produce, dairy) with no preservatives. If it only has one ingredient then add it to your diet. Stay away from the inside isles of the store. That is where you will find all of the processed food. It doesn't matter if it is diet, low sugar, low fat etc. it is still processed. Much of those items are not either real food or food that has been enhanced with chemicals. For example; instead of making sandwiches with bread we now make lettuce wraps and put the meat and cheese inside leaves of lettuce and roll them up. We eat a lot of brown rice and add fresh produce such as mushrooms, onions and green peppers. Breakfast would include eggs, turkey bacon or oatmeal with fruit. The best appliance we have found is the George Foreman cooker. You can fry, steam (rice and veggies) and cook with it like a crock pot. We also pop our own popcorn in it. No more processed microwave popcorn. There have been a ton of good suggestions for you on here. What it comes down to is a lifestyle change. Try shopping the outside isles of the store for 5 days eating only those types of unprocessed foods. I guarantee you will feel better, sleep better and start to see your weight drop. Good luck :biggrin_25520:
