I usually do like 3.5 wks out, and 3 days home. just depended who I was trying to get back to the next time i wanted to come back to denver lol, but this time out, I asked for friday-monday off, 4 days, but I got to denver wed afternoon and well I had 9 hours on my clock for wed and thursday combined, wasn't enough time for them to run me anywhere, which they tried to run me to layton but I would have just made it there thursday evening and I had tickets to fly out friday morning so I wasn't going for it, so I technically ended up taking like 6 days off. and yeah, it would have been quite a hassle for them to empty my truck out cause yeah I leave that sucker packed with stuff lol, nothing of any real value since I take my laptop and such with me, but it wouldn't have been an easy task for them

    Well I'm back from hometime....

So far my 2nd day back from hometime and now officially on the 48, and all I've done is take a load from yolo to portland, which I had to sit in Brooks for 18 hrs before driving another 40 miles to deliver this morning, and now back down to brooks to pick up a repower for a 200 mile load up to auburn wa for tomorrow, and then another 300 mile one after that that can't be delivered until the following day. So far the 48 side doesn't impress me.

why did you sit waiting 18 hrs, instead of delivering yesterday?

Costco load. Couldn't be delivered early and wasn't due until this morning. I just heard that all the loads headed east are coming out of LA now. And where as they sending me? Even farther north!! I just talked to a buddy on the western 11 and where did they send him? To LA, and then a run east...

Every source I have at May is singing the same tune. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you'll get out of the Brooks vortex soon.

I sat for over 48hrs in Brooks, did a short Coors repower from Jubitz down the road to Columbia. But now I'm headed to Ft. Worth. So yeah, you may get a few local'ish runs before heading out, but once you do, they're usually good for some miles. Then once you get off the West Coast, should be more longer runs...:yes2557:
