I have the 5" model. My only serious gripe about the RM is the touch screen. Freaking takes forever to type something in. Then it will lag, then load the next screen and you hit the menu button accidentally when you were just about to finish typing in the address. I constantly have to recalibrate the screen and clear the history. The maps themselves leave me wanting more. The Garmin maps are so detailed.

My next truck specific GPS will not be a Rand McNally. I wish I went with a Garmin. I have a cheap car Garmin right next to my RM for when it's acting up. The car Garmin is great, but I need the truck specific for routing and truck stops, and the walmart locator is a total lifesaver.

You can add Walmart locations from the POI factory files to any RM.

Do you have to "register" there to download POI's?

you rand users sure go through a lot of trouble trying to accomplish tasks that can be done free and easily on your phone.

no registering or files to load. nothing. all done in the apps that take 2 seconds to install.

In many states using a handheld cell phone for anything in a CMV is illegal.

Im pretty sure it's the 520. It's way up at the front of the truck and I'm really far away in the back of the sleeper.

gps is faster. If you already have your route in there and your driving. It's 5buttons

    menu
    destinations
    my route
    points of interest
    walmart

Bam! All walmarts on route with distance and parking info.
