Turns out my first paid run was driving a Schneider rental car back to my home then on to the OC; 15 hours of line 4 just to get to work. First 2 PU#s they gave me back in Fontana were dead ends; one still had a drivers stuff in it and she wasn't getting out, the other was at the dealer for repair. Drove to my OC and was told to check out a PU in the yard; 900k on a Century class that hadn't been cleaned. I get paid to clean and get it road ready (interior looks like there was some mud wrestling going on and all the cabinet doors are missing)... have been told this will be a short relationship as it is headed for the sales lot...Craigslist beware. PU needs a tire, fix a leak, passengers door doesn't lock, missing wiper blade...plus there is a 2x4 lashed to the cat walk...wtf?? Body dings galore and some very interesting repairs. It is what it is; it still turns over and builds air, the brakes are good and after one is replace the tires are all solid. No need to cry and complain; I wasn't expecting a 2015 with 106 inch sleeper anyway (hint to DBL in case you are reading this). I just want to make the doughnuts... On the drive up from Fontana I found this "modern country" station that played a "country" tune where the singer had a hook that involved a staccato of spoken word...aka rap...WTF? What is next? Dogs and cats inter-breeding? I actually liked it, alot. The song was smoking...maybe it is Karma and that is why I have the PU I have...it's all good, or at least that is the attitude I am taking. Wait until I am stranded on the side of the road watching my hours tick away waiting for SEM and then we will see what my true attitude will turn out to be...my inner postal is lurking in the shadows. Little Eddy
What was the song, do you remember? Male or female singer? anyhoo...sounds like you're on your way to making doughnuts! Keep a positive attitude, and things will go well. It's worked for me, anyway. Mostly.
Hm. Haven't heard that one. I think the one I was thinking is a bit older - female vocalist...the name of song escapes me at the moment. Stuck on you, or something like that. Blond, short spiky hairdo, Sugarland, maybe?
