I'm a driver too cs! I meant you aren't gonna see the cashier at Walmart standing there talking on the phone while they're ringing up items. When I'm driving I'm watching ahead as far as I can see. I'm watching my gages and my mirrors as well as the vehicles surrounding me. I haul stone with an overweight permit good to 117000k gross I'm usually around 115000k. I make the same trip 7 to 9 times a day and every trip is different. Being on the phone is a distraction.Ougigoug and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this.

On that Mythbusters segment I was talking about they tested 30 drivers all different ages, sexes, etc, there was only ONE driver out of 30 that made it thru the course (simulator) without crashing, killing someone, or running off the road,NavigatorWife Thanks this.

Alexander Graham Bell is a d@#k. Put the gd phone down. No excuses. Drive the truck, stop the truck, make the call. Unbelievable.

I like Mythbusters but I missed that one Kt. He missed the point of my original post. I understood what you were saying.

my father hangs up on me if he can tell i am driving
KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
i would have to quit driving if the only job was STR8T10 has
but if I did that job there would be no time for phones either -
Reading this thread I am just surprised at how many people who do not use cellphone while driving got together in one thread. I dont use cellphone in busy areas, but if I am going out west for example, I can be on the phone for hours, talking to other drivers about some stupid senseless stuff. If you dont talk to anybody while driving (not in a busy area), then I just find you a bit strange or just plain...lonely?
Canned Spam Thanks this. -
I will admit it, I am a loner in the truck, I just plain enjoy driving and what is around the next corner, nobody from my company ever wants to run with me, I don't smoke, never drank, so yeah, people tend to think me a bit strange, it takes all kinds.truckon Thanks this.
