No, I've never even seen a Tri wheeler group in Cali. @truckdad would know better than I would.
I know there are lots of wheelers out there, and I've seen platforms there as well, but I've never been bigger than 9axle in CaliPeteyFixAll and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
TN will just give you 25K on a trunion axle, therein lies the problem when you go to talking platform trailers and TN. You can get it done but they don't give you any extra weight for a trunion axle over a set of duals, until you get into dual lanes. If you can spread them out to dual lane configuration, TN will give you 50K per axle line.
Used to be that TN would permit you, under special circumstances, over axle weights. With the new law changes, I've seen people try but the state will not budge on extra axle weight. They will permit almost any amount of weight, as long as you have enough axles.Last edited: Jan 2, 2017

snowman_w900 Thanks this. -
An undertaking of this magnitude is Above any one individuals skill level.
This is a project that will require a knowledgable, experienced team consisting of managers, engineers, and liaisons to work with the incredible amount of varying governmental and utility departments to make this happen. Never-mind the crew actually on the ground.
I'd love the opportunity to be involved with several aspects of this, I think the experience and growth factor would be an asset that will pay dividends for the rest of ones career.DDlighttruck, CharlieK, Ruthless and 8 others Thank this. -
I would jump out of retirement just to be the guy that airs up all the tires on the transporter!DDlighttruck, PeteyFixAll, DarkhorseEnterprises and 9 others Thank this.

I've made several contacts with people in the industry. I have a relationship with some of the big guys in the Industry. Nobody will do much legwork at this point because the customer hasn't indicated they are committed to following through with the project yet. I question if they know the full scope of what they are getting into.
I've put them in contact with a couple of outfits that may not be the cheapest but have the ability and know how to get the job done. That's all I can do at this point. I'll keep everybody posted if or when it does happen.
I'd like to provide more info and people would better understand. While it's nothing top secret, it could be considered privileged info at this point so I need to kind of censor what I post in a public forum.PeteyFixAll, MJ1657, Ruthless and 5 others Thank this. -
Completely understandable, and respected.
Thanks for all you have shared this far, and I'm sure we would all appreciate anything you could share in the future as this type of move is very intriguing, and it has the potential to be a real eye opening knowledge sharing that would be of benefit to most.Ruthless, passingthru69, m16ty and 4 others Thank this. -
As it should be....No worries.
But I think at some point,we all need to get together for beers and come up with a PLAN B for m16ty..
And while were at it,we can solve all the other problems in the world....LOLMJ1657, passingthru69, johndeere4020 and 2 others Thank this.
