Looking for some insight on a run coming up to Tampa. All my past runs into Florida have been down I95 or I4. Had one to Fort Walton Beach out I10 but nothing near Tampa. I’ll be coming into Florida on I95S and it shows I95 to I10. I10 to 301S to I75S to Tampa. Going to the 7700 block of Anderson Rd. Since this is my first time into this area, what can I expect? Is that the best route or is there a better one. Would prefer no toll route. Any suggestions or insights on what I’ll find would be appreciated.

Either that or go all the way to I4 in Orlando........know that this road has a bunch of congestion during peak hours

That was another question I had. Would it be better to get in on a Sunday afternoon or Monday afternoon?

I would just run I-10 west to 75 south.. Unless you’re going through in the middle of the night then I’d take 95 south to I-4 west. Tolls are cheap in Florida and they toll by plate if you don’t have ezpass or any other acceptable way.

That 301 is the most direct but it’ll be slow going at times and just generally wears you out.

Tampa morning rush hour can get a little brutal so plan well if you’re going through in the morning.

If it was me I’d shut down at the Palm Coast weight station off 95 and roll into Tampa under the cover of darkness :)

There’s restroom there and a few vending machines. No one will bother you.

The way it looks I’ll be rolling in early afternoon. Around 1:00 or 2:00. Hopefully traffic will be a little better. So I10 to I75 would be best? Sounds like I should consider it instead of 301.

There's a weigh station on I-4 just past exit 14/McIntosh road.

There's also some parking at the produce complex in Plant City south of the Fred's Market restaurant. You'd have access to good food there. Exit 21 and south on Alexander Street. Entrance to the produce complex is off Alexander just past Johnson's Barbecue.

    I-95 to I-4.

I'd go 301 that time of day , it's the shortest way. I've been that way a few times never had a problem.
