Just depends on what you do and how good you are at doing it. Running heavy all the time without the wiggle room of a spread takes more skill and sometimes luck.
Fan this set up for awhile. 45'tandem with 30" of slide total because if the forklift kit on the rear. Loaded everyday as close to 80k as possible with no scales on site. Probably one out of five I was over on a tandem when I went to the cat scale but never enough to have to go back.Attached Files:

Question about tandem vs spread, does a spread off track faster then a tandem? I was gonna make a seperate thread about it but figured i could ask here i'll be leaving for TMC soon.

Spreads don't generally off track. They could but you don't see it nearly as often as tandems.

IDK. I tire tires up pretty quick on a spread, sometimes I wish it was a closed tandem just for tire longevity
