I'm planning on going Feb. 7th. It sounds like you guys are happy with Tango. I will be running regional. Everything I've heard sounds good. Thanks for the info.

Are you running regional? Is it a lot of drop and hook? I was told it was...just wondering. Are you getting home on the weekends?

I don't understand. Maybe I was in a class full of lazy's. I have sense bumped into them and they are all complaining.

As far as a hard hat you can get one at Home Depot which there is one right down the street from Slack yard on Bert Kouns right off I-49. Company issued me a standard hard hat but I turned it back in after ordering my own from Cooper Safety supplies online. I got a full brim MSA type I class E hard hat. Can't miss me though. Mine is comfortable and working where I am I leave it on most of the time. Bough my own class II safety vest from walmart instead of the cheapnet type #### they had to offer. Find a comfortable pair of safety glasses as well. IP mill in Mansfield is cracking down on the use of safety gear. One of our guy's got in trouble for no hard hat. I got popped for no safety glasses because once again I didn't like what was issued to me. But no need to fear, the investment is worth it. You get something your comfortable with and you can claim it as a tax deduction.

I notice alot of guy's get huffy puffy when we pass them at the mill bypassing them at the scales at the gate and the line at the back of the mill where the docks are. We have high priority. We run paper in even on days when they do not take OTR trucks. Only time we do not run is when our supervisor texts us telling us the mill is not taking anything like tonight because their storage is at full capacity so OTR trucks are sent to Slack yard for storage and we transfer it to the mill from there which helps you guy's get a load faster if you have the time to reload on your log book.

The corner at the first stop sign at Slack yard will soon no longer serve as parking. We now have a new set of scales and soon to be a new office building on that corner. This is not rumor. Now rumor does have it that the docks on the south end are going to be extended another 5 feet or so to allow for easier backing. Yes those docks are really tight even for our short wheel base day cabs.

I'm finally glad to have a night off. I had the night off night before last but I was liad up sick and the tranny in one of the automatics is out. Glad I still get to have my 10 speed hehe.

I've heard alot of complaints about night dispatch and how they won't do anything to get you a load so I'll keep my ear out for such thing's and address it to the right people. I have Tango on my facebook which they update almost daily if not a couple times a day. I have informed them of a couple of things and seems like it has gotten through down the chain on our end sense drivers think the trucks are assigned and don't clean up after themselves.

As for the USA terminal, it still may be a while before it is opened. They said it needed a lot of work. Was told the oil pit has been so neglected that it was 2 feet deep in oil soaked kitty litter that has never been cleaned out. Repainting, removal of cobwebs and all that good stuff. I think Slack yard has the worst of all but all we are is storage and over flow for the mill in Mansfield.

You guy's have a good evening. 200GMC, if you have any other questions I'll be more than happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge. Oh, and in orientation, they feed you real good. The place they normally order from, the guy was out of town on a family emergency but they still hook you up with some good grub. Not cheap sandwich like most other companies.

    2009GMC Thanks this.

Thanks skunk truck. I'm just looking for a company I can get decent home time and make a living. I'm not trying to get rich. just looking for a good balance between the two. I live just east of Mobile, AL. I see Tango trucks around here all the time so I hope it works out well.

That's what they say. You won't get rich but you will make an honest pay check. The home time is as they say according to your area. Only bad thing I have heard are from those that have screwed up on their part and look to the company to blame it on. Everyone else I have heard are happy with it other than those from my orientation class are complaining and not making any money but I don't see how other than lazy. I mean hell, to put in prespective. I'm local, I make $15.35/hr. 12 hour shift's and can't exceed the 70 hour log book rule. Time and a half after 40 hours. It's a really laid back job but what I don't do that and my supervisor see's that I don't keep it laid back and he has mentioned this to me even though he's not there at night to see it, he can still tell what I do, how hard I run and any issues that I spend my time trying to resolve rather than sitting in the office riding the clock. I keep myself busy to make my time if I can't make another run to the mill and make it back before the clock is up so I try and stay busy but I only do things that are productive. Anything else is a waste of money to the company. PTI inspections on trucks that other people aren't doing in which 3 out of 5 truck's were #### near out of oil because they don't check it. Thing's like this I check, make note of and report it back to my supervisor so he is aware. I do this for job security so when Tango comes in to clean house and rid of those not doing what they are supposed to you know who will still be standing, early to work and clock in on time.

A note to you guy's, if you are having trouble with the trailer you brought in, try and resolve the problem with it like the doors not closing. In 99.98% there is a simple solution to the problem. The grounds at Slack yard are very uneven and unlevel. You have to move your truck to lean to a different side to compensate. Do not pick up a trailer on our lot and I'll tell you why. A guy came in complaining he couldn't close the door's. A simple solution which may have taken a little extra time to correct but he hooked up to a trailer with a busted axle hub that was leaking oil. I wonder how far he got with it before it locked up.

The doors on some are wore out but a simple two finger lift on the bottom of the latch and you'll feel it rise up and go right in. One of our day shift drivers got in trouble for the same thing. She took that same trailer out knowing it had a leaking axle hub and ran it anyway. They don't tag those trailers with OOS card's but I do and one or two others do as well and we have a list in the office on the wall of those OOS trailers and whats wrong with it.

One thing I can't help with is scaling in and out. I know you have to scale in proceed to instructed door to unload and scale out but I do not know how to do this because the way OTR/Reg scales in, in the scale building is different than us shuttle drivers. We have a simple 3 click system on the computer and we are done. 2 clicks if you let it time out on it's own. You guy's have to scan something and all that other good stuff.

I just please ask of you not to speed on the lot. The sign say's 25 but 10 MPH should do it. We can be any where at anytime doing anything and pop out from behind of of those trucks or out of the building.
