Well, now I'm getting a little hell bent. Everyone got a raise but us and our hour's have been cut back sense a #### load more shuttle drivers have been hired cutting us all down around 48 hours a week instead of 65-70 hours. Not only no pay raise but a pay cut. I'm hoping this is only temporary. If it's not, I'm in trouble. When I started we had 10 driver's, 5/day's 5/nights. Last count I took we were up to 16. WE went from 5 trucks and now have 8 trucks. Now rumor has it that we will start back hauling loaded trailers (paper rolls) from the mill to the greenwood terminal to drop then return to Slack to reload with scrap going to the mill. This is only speculation from rumors I have heard down the grapevine. Maybe things will pick back up hourly wise with this run thus hiring more drivers because of the extended length of haul and turn around time but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Home time should be "almost" consistant living where you are. Not hearing much complaint about pay yet as all OTR/Reg got a pay raise but down side is and it's getting to the point of no escape is the E-Logs. There here now too.

I live in Kansas City. There is opening for Company Drivers. Regional, Dedicated, and OTR runs available in various areas. Company Drivers start up to .38 cpm. Is this a good company to work for. I don't whine, take all loads, fix most of my own stuff. All companies have good and bad. I just like the good to be the biggest part of the equation. What are the avg. miles a week and do they keep the equipment up Tires etc.

dang,i thought it could be better somewhere else,i work a 5/2,5/3 schedule run between texas and louisiana.brought home a $630.00 check in 2 week period but take home for me usually is $1,000 up to $1,800 every two weeks, just depends on the loads that i pull get put into the payroll dept. computers, they usually cut off loads 10 - 15 loads per driver since we have 2 women in payroll and 250 drivers to sort paperwork for. bad side of it i drive a 2003 freightliner.

Dip Stick of the Year Award??
Some Dipstick that was talking to night dispatch (on phone) and rolled their truck at the same time while on the first load. I hear from the grapevine it was an Owner Operator. We had a driver caught in terminal with coke (drug..not the bubbly stuff LOL) and an unathorized passenger (family member) and now wonders why it was put on his DAC report.
Makes me wonder about the "type" of drivers that are now available to this industry.

ANY WENT GOOD AT FIRST, THEN SITTING FOR LONG PERIODS, I MANGED TO WORK THROUGH ALL THE SLOW DAYS PRAYING THEY WOULD REPLACE HIM . NEVER HAPPEN AFTER NUMERIOUS COMPLAINTS. I TURNED IN TWO WEEK NOTICE AND TOLD JOHN I WAS RETURNING TRUCK MON MORNING TO SHREVEPORT , HE ASKED IF I CAN GET YOU A LOAD WOULD YOU TAKE AND T-CALL AT YARD , SURE . NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HIM ALL WEEKEND TO GET LOAD ON TRUCK. I RETURNED TRUCK. CLEANED VERY GOOD, AND WHEN I GOT HOME I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE PAYING FOR OUT OF ROUT MILES AND WOULD NOT BE RECIEVING MY LAST CHECK OF $380.00 .AFTER FIGHTING WITH HIM ON PHONE I WAS TOLD ITS NOT MY PROBLEM HAVE A GREAT LIFE,,, WOW I AM SUEING THEM TO TRY AND GET MY LAST CHECK .. I DO REMEMBER THE LAST THING THEY TOLD ME, THEY WOULD PAY US IF WE RETURNED OUR TRUCK., TANGO IS NOT A PLACE I WOULD WORK FOR EVER AGAIN. , FOR A CRISTIAN COMPANY NOT EVEN CLOSE ...
