What should i ask?
I'm retired US ARMY and trying to get back into the work force after three years of not working.
I've got a list of questions to ask but want to see what you all think since you either work for the company or going to work for the company.
Thanks all
Tony

First and foremost thank you for your service, the most common question's would be home time, pay, pto and benefits. I would tell you one thing I was told by a veteran driver you first year would be though but once you overcome it, it would be a breeze.
Remember safety and goal when unsure. Good luck and hope you find a company that fits your criteria.
@Chinatown we need your input on tankers for our fellow driver @19k19k Thanks this. -
IMO the most important tanker questions, regardless of product hauled:
"HOW do I get paid?" (Percentage/flat rate, or mileage)
"WHEN do I get paid?" (Day of week, weekly or biweekly)
Mileage rate for loaded and deadhead (lots of deadhead in tankers)
Hourly or flat rate for accessorials
Plus whatever's important to you. In my case, my next question would be about health insurance.
Good luck! -

Thanks for the quick input. I have added questions to my question pool to ask when they call me

I don't really care what I haul, I do care where I haul it.
Also, sad to say, but in this day you have to ask about driver facing cameras, idle policy etc.
Other than that, your question has pretty much been answered.homeskillet Thanks this. -
