Go to some tanker terminals and talk to the terminal mangers directly. Never mind what their website might say about experience. Most companies are hurting for drivers now.

MOST, but not all, tanker companies only hire after you have 1 year experience driving with a CDL. You don't need to have experience pulling something before they train you on their tankers. Prime's tanker division is very small with few trainers. If you want to work for Prime pulling tankers you mave have to insist sitting around waiting for a tanker trainer or you will be tempted to start pulling reefers while waiting for a trainer to become available. On YouTube there is a long-time Prime Tanker driver with a channel and lots of videos. He covers every details related to Prime and pulling tankers at Prime. Most newbies, for some reason, will not look at a video older than 15 minutes even if it answers everything they want to know. Look at his older videos. He explains everything. He is on a dedicated account. Prime does NOT have lots of cross-country tanker work. I think Prime has the best training in the business but I would not try to enter the tanker division. Lots of better tanker companies.

OK, you're good for 3 of those I listed.
If I learn of any more, I'll post them.
