I'll Keep my eyes open for such opportunities. Fun fact lol swift pays their owner operators more than this company pays hauling tanks LOL.

Got a call today I start orientation Tuesday. Going to be flatbed hauling. Machinery, pipe, steel ECT... Paid percentage of load. I will pay trailer rental fee but will not be tied down to one trailer type. Whatever the load needs the yard I will be out of has em. Only major expense I see coming is equipment purchase chains, rachets, straps list goes on.... Trying to find them used on Craigslist but no luck so far. Everytime I send a message to someone to see if gear is available all they have is the rack left lol. I have a headache rack already.G13Tomcat Thanks this.

HazMat is where Is where the money is at in Trucking. I had the same goal when I started and have been pulling tankers now for 10 years. You can be local and make 100k a year.

@TakinItEasy I just starter tanking few weeks ago and I like it. Guys I talked to that are leased on where I am love it and making a good living. Flatbed can be hit and miss and a lot of times pay is not much better from dry van rates.
