Closest I ever came to rolling one was when they first opened the 4 lane section of US 35 at exit 39 off of I-64 in West Virginia. You used to have to take exit 40 where the TA is and run a 2 lane road. The new 4 lane road merges back into that 2 lane with 2 sharp curves. I came through there at night the first time and they didn't have the 30 mph warning signs up that are there now. Got a little puckered on that one.

This leak started as soon as I rigged up. My trainers truck doesn't even have these holes on his. So he was as dumbfounded as me as to why there are there and why wasnt this issue fixed before I ever received the trailer. Me having no experience would of never known to look there for a possible leak. I had to drive 200 miles both ways to get a new trailer that had these same holes that were plugged with screws lol.

Got my first week done. Pretty easy work. You spend a lot of time behind the steering wheel which is good. I've gotten used to pulling the tanker pretty quickly. Each place you deliver to is different with their procedures but you end up doing your same routine. The miles are there. Can't wait to get in a full week of loads. Most loads can be done in a day. Pretty happy here.

You need to think outside the box as in van freight.

One way but they pay empty miles. So you can make good time back to plant.

    scythe08 and G13Tomcat Thank this.

Depends on your company and your type of operation.
My first company hauled their own product and the majority was out and back. Incredible money, but absolute crap home time.
My current carrier is a common carriers and I make .40 cpm odometer miles. I get paid for unloading/loading, but not tank washes. I honestly made more money , consistently, running dryvan with schneider. But these guys only halve 30 trucks, hardly EVER hear from them, I just get a dispatch via email or qcom and they don't care if I take a week off after being gone 5 or 6 weeks. So I made less, but am loads happier,,,,, but I do miss those nice checks. I'll just continue to build my resume and see what's out there later

Just passing by, G13Tomcat and moloko Thank this.
