Have you ever experienced bad gaskets , as a bad batch ? Ive seen new gaskets , pressure release valves , thermostatic valves ect come from factory faulty . But im sure haz mat items have a a tighter QC regulation.

You would be suprised.
Matlack had a shop foreman with a machinist background and he was constantly 'truing' Internal valve housings that came from the maker out of round. Spun off as a jobber providing this service to all and a few sons of Matlack maintenance people are running it today

One of our competitors got a good deal on a case of 4" gaskets. They came in a big box with a Bangladesh return address. That should have been his first warning.
As soon as the first drop of gasoline touched them they turned to goo. Same with diesel. There's no way to handle hoses without fuel touching the gaskets so they were basically worthless.
We bought them from him and used them on our dry bulk tankers and water trucks. They turned brittle and fell apart with the dry tankers and just fell apart period in the water trucks.

Thats sort of scary , i really hard to trust mechanical components that are not made in, USA , western Eu and Japan . Maybe S. Korea . Bangladeshi seals lol ,1 of the poorest countrys on earth . India worse than china .

Tanker 6k potable water hauler 2014 Freightliner SD 122 DD 16 18spd w/four drop axles smooth bore ! We have terminology that’s company specific and driving a tanker can be a challenge when 3/4 full !

How west are you? You could try California Freight, Cherokee Freight Lines, Skikos. Indian River has a presence in the west but I don't know about their terminals besides the one in Grandview, WA.

Edit: I just realized how old this post is... My bad lol. Hope it all worked out for you though.
