.72 to .76 per loaded mile ? Must not get paid to bring it back. And for water treatment chemicals ? Somebody ( else ) is making a killing if this is what the driver gets.
Believe it or not water treatment is complicated. It takes the 3 basics of oxidizers, flammables and corrosives to do it. These frequently travel on the same truck. If they mix at the wrong time be it the customer tank or the truck or even some ditch the results can be deadly.
Try to get on Prime's olive oil gig and stay away from compartment loads as much as you can. They're are a pain to deal with as both the shipper and receiver treat them like 4 or 5 loads with separate samples and separate paperwork but you don't get 4 to 5 times the pay. Schneider is not bad either. Good for experience ( only ) . Get on with him and do 6 mos. clean, then start looking elsewhere.... keep looking too. Not many are going to want you with 6 mos. liquid.
