I've worked for a company like that before and didn't have an issue with the zero tolerance phone policy. The problem has been finding a good cryo company with solo OTR positions, the vast majority of jobs are local day cab positions which I understand is due to the short haul nature of the business.

Try Martin transport... In the tampa lakeland area fair money just didn't like that they don't match 401k and pay by the load not by the hour and if I'm doing multiple loads a day I need hourly pay

Your company offers "Superior Customer Service" with "Professional Drivers and Support Staff"... {That's me imagining your company's motto} problem is with most companies, they offer YOUR TIME. The simple truth? Trucking companies sales and dispatch are too lazy (or afraid) to force the customers to do what the customer is supposed to do. And they wonder why turnover is so high. I've been out of trucking for almost a year and I miss the road, miss the autonomy, but sales and dispatch are lazy... and I don't miss them at all.

And the customers soon learn what they can get away with so have no reason to change either.

Not all companies are like that but the few that are tend to make life miserable for the driver. Also, not holding customers to the rules, especially with hazmat, will bite all of them on the butt eventually.
One of our competitors had a customer that refused to mark his storage tanks with product labels. It turned out he was doing a little illegal in-house grade blending on gasoline but that's another story. When a delivery was due he'd leave a note in the mailbox saying which tank...they were numbered...was to receive the load.
The dispatcher finally had enough and on the next load he told the driver to be sure and take a big lunch 'cause he was probably going to sit there a while. He also told the driver not to unload in any tank without a product label.
The driver called in from the unload point and said there were no product labels. The dispatcher told him to get comfortable and stand by.
After five hours of increasingly hostile phone calls between the trucking company and the consignee they finally came out and put proper product labels on the tanks. The driver got paid his full wage to wait and the company charged for four hours of delay time because of improper or missing tank labels.
The only guy that lost was the consignee and he wasn't in business much longer anyway. He was using regular gas to stretch his premium gas supply and he got busted for it.

You’ve never been to IMTT (Chicago or Bayonne) then....although the operators were cool, I loath their scalehouse n security minions.

but I will say BASF (Wyandotte) security n scalehouse peeps were cool af yesterday. Way early, no safety orientation, bobtail toured the place during crewchange cauz lost & security still came out to meet me to grab my paperwork/badge b4 I left .
