Nothing I can really tell ya, but I've pulled a couple coke loads - 4 / 5hr loads and unloads with the added benefit of feeling like a second class citizen. I think mainly because your truck isn't red... but I'm not sure, due to the limited experience.

who is pulling the target loads? target dry van is mostly drop/hook back empty or pickup back haul, depends on who is paying you. who is doin the acct, i didnt think target had their own trks

There is a Cokecola place near the DC area right up 395 from 95/Mixing Bowl south DC.
Run in there, off load a bunch of can stock. Full cans of soda went out on local delivery boys. Tanker boys had their own thing.
It's not the same as running Coil of aluminum from Central KY to Anhauser Busch in Williamsburg VA where they take the three coils and feed it to can stamp in a few hours to make the cans themselves.
Ive hauled soda on 48 pallets stacked out of Seabrook NH to Baltimore and points south. I remember these specific loads because a perfect 10 hour logged day from Seabrook NH to Baltimore Travel Center leaves you 10 minutes exactly to the 10th hour quitting time on the paper logs back then. -
As far as I know, Target doesn't have their own fleet. Costco does though. They get paid around $25.50 an hour.
