My previous company used closed head ache racks and everything was out of sight and seemingly out of mind. I never had one thing stolen in my year and a half open decking all across North America.

But who in their right mind WANTS tarps?
Then again some of us in our left mind keeps using them anyways. -
50% of time I keep chains and binders on deck of trailer. hook stake pocket chain drawn to otherside thru spool back to other side loop thru spool and up on deck under both chain sections. Binder laying on deck under both sections of chain with hooks hooked into chain. Handle of binder lays in groove on deck. Rest of the time I keep chains in a milk crate in passenger floor. Binders go in side box.
Removed closed headache rack to give me clearance between top deck and back of cab. I haul a lot of long "I" beams. 50'-65'.
