I have found that utility trailer dealers seem to have the best price.

    $26.00 a box of 50

I see fresh Malone l/p guys' stuff sitting unattended all the time. Shiny new bling bling chains, fresh lumber, nice clean new tarps all right up there on the trailer for everyone to see!

I can guess who stole your bungees, a van driver and he's gonna cut them in half and hang them through the holes in his step!

Why do guys put the bungey through their steps? I see it quite a bit and only thing I can think of is it helps with spray off the wheels in the rain?

Well I'm back in business, got 2 boxes for $80. I'm generally pretty trusting, but now everything is getting locked up. My pair of 8' drop tarps won't fit in the box though. Got them strapped on a dunnage rack with my ladder. Got one of those bicycle locks with the big hasp, just the right size to lock the handle down on a 2' strap, though someone could cut the strap but at least it will keep an honest man honest.

you know what they say a lock only stops and honest person...

if you have a snap binder you can chain your tarps to the deck and lock the binder, i see COTC trucks like that all the time

Yeah, it's company policy to strap our tarps on the deck, throw a chain and put a lock over the handle of the binder. But, I did hear a story from another company driver that some thief cut the chain and the strap and got away with two 9' drops from his trailer.

I went from being a flatbeder to a pulling sand can and mycoworkers are worst then my buckboard buddies about bungees cords. I put mybungees, rubber rope rolled up in a piece of old tarp and in the lock box undermy trailer. I pulled that trailer for 3 month before I found the tarp box. :biggrin_2554:I domiss that trailer. Good luck keeping the trash away from your equipment.
