Had my tarps stolen in Houston. They backed up to my trailer in their Buick and cut the strap and threw them in the back seat and drove off. I was inside getting lunch.
I had obvious cameras on both mirrors and on the back of the cab. Called the cops and handed them the video clips in 1080P HD. Got the plates and a full body shot from 4 feet away HAHA. They made it easy by parking the car halfway between both cameras on the driverside.
Haven't heard anything yet, not sure how to find out. I have a case number they gave me.
Bought some new 27 foot long 8 foot drop tarps for $840.

Houston PD sux. They will write a report and close the case. Best bet is to frequent that truck stop and lay low. Those guys live nearby and the pawn shop they sell the tarps to are nearby. They hang out at that particular truck stop all the time. In fact, I bet the fuel desk clerk knows them by name. Get a brick, put it in a brand new t'shirt and wait. When you see them, (and you will) put the brick in the t'shirt and use it to open his head. Roll out. Keep in mind that the Houston PD (not Harris County) sux. They will call an ambulance, write a report and close the case.

Call your insurance company. They might investigate.
    Hope those thieves get time.
Obviously they watched you go inside.
    Good luck

What camera system do you have.

I hope you have better luck than me with thefts. Around here, the cops just don't care about property crimes, there isn't any money in it. They had rather write tickets or bust drug dealers for the cash on them.

I've caught people red handed before and the cops just turn them loose.

What camera system is that? How much of the mounting did you have to fab? Is it WiFi capable so you can watch them on a phone in your bunk?

    Looks like sweet setup.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

Agree with @TripleSix . Help the side of his head with a solid object. Then go into the local pawn store and take your tarps back.
