    It's Crete's flatbed group.

To their credit, less than 10% of their loads use a tarp. They try to keep away from it.

They have a lot of longer runs. So while I may have been tossed in the fire... once I finally get it all straightened out... kinda sorta.. I get a lot of driving.

And the first time I get something new, it's all the drama. After that it's a piece of cake once I get it again.

I really, really wish I could just scratch California off of my map, though.

    I am not sure, actually.

Before I got that tarp load, I rejected the load before that. I was on the AZ border with only 6 hours left on cycle duty. They dispatched me to Long Beach, I'm guessing that port down there.

Well I didn't want to drive around LA all night with negative hours trying to find a place to park. So I rejected it. They accepted it. They said, "I could have made it." But they didn't press me.

I got my reset then that was the load I got instead. Still had to go to LA and I had to tarp. Lol

Yeah, but then what?? They only care if the load gets picked up, not all the hell you have to go through after, because they're passed out from drinking too many soy lattes by then. Meanwhile you're out there wandering around bleary eyed looking for a place to stash a 70' long combo.

I knew exactly what was probably going to happen. I would make it there, get loaded, and then I'd be driving all over the place.

I don't know of anywhere to park in the LA valley at all. So I'd head to Ontario. More than likely those truck stops would be full by the time I got there, dealing with Friday evening rush hour.

So what then? I guess I would have to get on I15 and start up the mountain all while racking up illegal hours.

Yeah...ok... that was a hard NO. I'm not that new.

In the oilfield we would cut three holes in a black trash bag and wear that. Gave a whole new meaning to "oilfield trash".

My rain gear works pretty good. As soon as I put it all on, it stops raining.

I'm going to have to ask the manufacturers how they figured that out.
