I never said you were lazy for having fork lifts put your tarp on the bed. Your right, "Work smarter not harder". I said you were lazy because you deny a load if there is no fork lift to put the tarp up. Huge difference. It actually disgusts me to know that this is happening, because there is a hard working guy out there, who would gladly take that load, and throw 10 tarps up there.

I guess it is just me, but I was raised to never turn down work. Sometimes you get the bear, and sometimes the bear gets you. You never know what is going to be there tomorrow, so you have to get it while the getting is good. You also shouldn't talk "heights and carrying" with an Iron Worker.

I also never claimed to be a "master" tarper. But I will do it with out whining about it because it is part of the job.

And I will gladly tarp your machine load, with no fork lift or tarping station, as long as your paying me for it.

Big difference between tarping a dump-body than tarping an open deck....

I wasn't assuming anything. You proved you were an idiot by assuming that because I am young, I have never worked hard, or had any experience being 13+ foot off the ground. lol. That isn't an assumption, it is an opinion I formed by some of your comments.

Wow, I tarp in the rain, snow, wind, heat and never need anyone with a forklift to touch my tarps. Screw breaking a sweat, I spent $15,000 so I don't have to. I'll leave all that to you guys! Lol

Look....I'm an O/O under my authority....I pick and chose where I run and, what loads I take or don't take.....

I don't take loads that require 8' drops anymore because experience has taught me that the majority of them are cheap and heavy.....

Until you have to pay the bills on equipment....Pay fuel...and all of the other expenses that come with running a trucking biz.....I suggest you back-off and open your ears......

What you are doing is like me telling a heart surgeon how to "Close" when the only thing I have ever sewn, was a pair of jeans.....

Not taking a load because it doesn't pay, and not taking a load because there is no fork lift to lift a tarp are two completely different things.

Yeah...yeah.....But you don't do OD/OS loads do you?

How do you get 70' beams or pipe with that "garage" of yours?....:biggrin_25525:

True....But if you are in your 50's with a bad back....Why would take a chance to make it worse?

    I don't slam doors either....Those loads don't pay enough....

I don't run reefer because I can't stand to wait........

Life is about choices....I choose to work smarter....
