I've seen some that are about as high as a side kit. If the 84" coils would fit under it, I'd be set. I wouldn't want to pull a 48' 13'6" wagon with my tractor.
-
I thought we were talking width, sorry.
For height, I'm 13'4" off the ground. You can order them shorter. But frankly speaking, I wish mine was just a couple of inches higher. I do a lot of rear load/unload skidded coils, and it would be nice to be able to just roll up the rear flap and bump the dock like a door swinger (only better). Sometimes, I gotta open all the way up so the forklift can come grab his freight. That gets a bit problematical if it is raining. -
You can't roll the rear flap and flip it up on the roof, allowing full clearance?OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
Depends on how high the skidded coils are stacked. Sometimes I gotta open up to give the forklift masts room to work.
If the load is low enough, you bet all I do is roll up and bump the dock. Work is for suckers. -
I have to remove bows in order to get them to fit. With the kit, no problem, but if the frame if the conestoga has to clear, it will need to be taller.

This morning in PA.... open from the front takes 45 seconds. Still 102" inside. With certain loads you can chain / unchain inside in bad weather. Aero 2 system.
The BAD: notice the top picture.... unhooked from outside with a lever on each corner, doesn't work well in extremely tight areas. -
Mine you can't.

Is yours the drawstring style? All the rollup with the long crank handle ones I've seen you can utilize that long crank rod to roll to the top edge of the rear then flip it onto the roof, allowing full clearance thru the rear.OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
Yes it's the drawstring type.Ruthless Thanks this.
